If you have not thought of a promise yet, then now is the time to ponder.
Your promise should be written on paper. Your mileage may very on other mediums.
There are a few steps to keep in mind for the format:

The word love will be written on any corner of your paper, in any language you desire.
Your promise will be written on the paper in any legible way, and can be any language as well.

These are the only requirements for your paper.
However, you are free to express yourself further on the submission in however manner you wish - these are optional suggestions.

Consider a meaningful sketch or symbol related or not to the promise.
Sign your pen name somewhere.
Decide on differing styles of your sheet or stay with a very simple medium.

The medium is yours to craft as you see fit.
When you have completed your paper, continue on.
